Air resistance is the kind of fluid friction that slows a falling object (like paper or a feather slowly falling to the ground because the air is a force pushing up against it as it falls).

Hi William,

Yes. You should put a picture of yourself in the large box on the top left and then draw your flag (in color) underneath. Your name should go in the skinny box above the questions. Then, answer the questions and you are done! :)

Subject: Gamma Radiation

Dear Ms. Filano
In class you said something about gamma radiation. What exactly is gamma radiation. All i know is that gamma radiation created the hulk but that's fiction. So what is it Really and what real affects does it have if it has any.

Subject: Re: Gamma Radiation

The short answer is that gamma radiation is the strongest electromagnetic wave on the spectrum. These waves have a very high frequency and can only be stopped by materials like lead and concrete. They are given off by stars, but we can also create them. They are radioactive and can cause cell mutations (thus where the Hulk story came from). While mutations may and usually do occur, they do not result in superhero traits. :)
